STEM CELLS & GROWTH FACTORS DENTIST IN CYPRUS
The most natural way of self-healing
Do you know that, following things like extractions, treating gum disease and aesthetic problems in the oral cavity, we use the most innovative, beneficial treatment for you, with stem cells and growth factors?
How do we use stem cells to enhance natural healing?
The entire process is straightforward and very effective!
We take 10 ml of our patient’s blood and put it through the centrifugation process. Centrifuging is used to separate components of a fluid by spinning it at high speed in a container. This spinning motion causes the fluids of different densities to separate.
The result after centrifuge is platelet-rich fibrin (PRF).
Also, it is worth knowing that this method is completely autologous, which means there are no additives, so you will not have any allergies or side-effects. The entire process uses your own natural blood.
What is PRF?
Platelet-rich fibrin is a natural fibrin biomaterial prepared using a patient’s blood and enhances soft tissue and bone regeneration, without causing inflammation or other side-effects.
PRF includes many valuable cells which are very beneficial to you! Cells such as platelets, white cells, the growth factors and the stem cells!
How we use PRF after treatments at Yiannikos:
We use the PRF for multiple treatments to enhance the regeneration of both soft tissue and bone.
- Immediately after a simple or surgical extraction
- During the positioning of an implant
- Treating gum diseases
- Resolving intra oral aesthetic problems (gum recession)
How PRF is beneficial for you:
- Bleeding stops immediately
- Very little to no swelling
- Can eliminate pain
- No need for antibiotics
- No dry socket
- Preserves the dimensions of gums and bone from reducing after an extraction
- Prevents aesthetic and functional problems
- Rapid healing
A note to all our patients:
PRF is particularly beneficial to you if you apply to any of the following issues which can impact tissue and bone regeneration:
- Diabetic
- Smoker
- Vitamin D deficiency
- High cholesterol
- Cardiovascular disease
- Receive daily aspirin
- Takes bisphosphonates
- Have undergone head or neck radiotherapy
