FAQs

How long do dental implants last?

Dental implants are a long-lasting solution for missing teeth. They are designed to last a long time, up to around 15 years. Depending on the level of your oral health, implants could last longer or less than 15 years.

It is normal to feel some soreness during the healing period after receiving dental implants. However, there should not be any pain felt during the actual procedure of receiving dental implants.

Dental implants typically do not fall out as they are solidified within the bone tissue. However, in some rare cases, an implant could be moved from its place and cause the top tooth replacement to fall off.

This depends entirely on each person’s individual oral health and bone structure. Most people are able to get dental implants but there may be some patients who are better off with an alternative option. To be sure whether or not dental implants are the right option for you, have a consultation with your dentist.

There is no evidence proving that dental implants cause headaches. Headaches could be caused by suffering from sinus or nerve damage after receiving the implant treatment, but this is a very rare occurrence.

Headaches could also be caused by jaw issues or misaligned bites.

If you have gum disease, it is best to delay implant surgery until your gum disease is treated.
